The play “Evolution of Lazgi” is presented for the first time in Iran

For the first time in the history of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran, the musical and drama theater of the Khorezm region took part in the Theater Festival of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries, held within the framework of the 43rd International Theater Festival Fajr in Tehran
At the event, Uzbek artists presented the play "Evolution of Lazgi", dedicated to the traditional Khorezm dance, included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity as an element of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
The guests of the play were the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Fariddin Nasriev, the head of the General Directorate of Performing Arts of Iran Atabak Nodiri, the director of the Khorezm Regional Music and Drama Theater Dinara Ibragimova, representatives of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran, diplomats and Iranian art lovers.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan noted that in our country, the development of culture and art has become one of the priority areas of the state policy of the country.
The head of the General Directorate of Performing Arts of Iran, Atabak Nodiri, highly praised the dance "Lazgi" and noted that this performance will contribute to further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.
The director of the Musical and Drama Theater of the Khorezm region, Dinara Ibragimova, expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Iran for assistance in organizing the performance of the play "Evolution of Lazgi" and told the participants of the event about the history of the creation of the dance.
Iranian art lovers expressed warm impressions from the performance of Uzbek artists and the wish to see something similar again in Iran during the holiday of Navruz and other joint cultural events.
